We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Loan Officer - Norwegian Speaker to join our team in Malta. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for processing loan applications, engaging with customers, ensuring compliance, and providing excellent customer service to drive satisfaction and growth.
Your focus:
- Loan Application Processing: Review and assess loan applications to ensure compliance with company standards and eligibility criteria.
- Customer Follow-Up: Communicate with customers by phone, email, or chat to obtain additional information or provide updates.
- Approval & Decline Decisions: Make informed loan approval or decline decisions based on company policies, risk guidelines, and compliance standards.
- Sales & Customer Engagement: Actively engage with customers to identify needs, recommend products, and drive sales through upselling and cross-selling.
- Issue Resolution: Handle customer queries and complaints with professionalism, providing effective solutions at the first point of contact.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Follow all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk controls.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Maintain accurate and detailed records of loan applications, decisions, and customer interactions in company systems.
Required skills & qualifications:
Must-have:
- Fluency in Norwegian and English (spoken & written).
- Strong customer service mindset with a team-player attitude.
- Good computer literacy and ability to navigate multiple systems.
- Ability to resolve customer queries effectively on the first contact.
Nice-to-have:
- Additional languages.
- Previous experience in a similar role in financial services or customer support.
