Job Description

Are you a native Norwegian speaker who wants to share your language with the world? Mondosol is looking for an enthusiastic Norwegian Language Teacher to join our international online teaching community. Norwegian may be a niche language - but the demand for excellent teachers is real and growing.

What You Will Do:

• Teach Norwegian (Bokmål or Nynorsk) via live one-on-one and group sessions on Google Meet
• Build engaging, personalized lesson plans suited to each student's level and purpose (travel, heritage, business, or general fluency)
• Help students develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Norwegian
• Deliver clear, motivating feedback that keeps students progressing
• Share Norwegian culture, traditions, and context as part of the learning journey
• Track student development and continually refine your approach
• Become a valued member of a growing global educator community

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Native or near-native Norwegian speaker (Bokmål and/or Nynorsk)
• Patient, encouraging, and student-centered teaching approach
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace
• Computer with webcam and microphone for Google Meet lessons

Nice to Have:

• Experience teaching Norwegian as a second language (NOR2 or equivalent)
• Familiarity with Norwegian teaching certifications or curriculum frameworks
• Knowledge of why students want to learn Norwegian (heritage, relocation, academics)
• Ability to accommodate students in different time zones
