Import Customs Handling Specialist with Norwegian

Our team

In our team, we are responsible for many activities within the logistics chain. We will entrust you with a sub-activity for which you will be responsible. You will communicate with your colleagues in the team and with colleagues in Germany.

What will your job be about?
  • Transit procedures for import and export for Scandinavia and Baltic countries
  • Preparation, making and verification of import and export customs declarations
  • Inspection of deliveries of goods before customs clearance for compliance with customs documents according to instructions and legal requirements (number of packages, customs seal, etc.).
  • In case of non-compliance, resolution with the local customs office with the involvement of the superior
  • Preparation of the customs/tax return according to the working instructions and considering economic aspects and the release template
  • Provision of import data/documents and verifying the veracity or providing missing documents from internal and external partners. Monitoring customs deadlines
  • Intrastat reporting
  • GDW reporting (GDW is a database collecting all relevant Siemens customs import and export transactions on a worldwide basis)
  • Also, EU intra community trade transactions are collected
  • Daily communication with teammates with whom you will collaborate and work to improve the process

What do we expect from you?
  • Good knowledge of English and Norwegian languages, at least B2 level
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Experience in a similar position or customs-oriented issues
  • Positive attitude towards IT (paperless office), excellent communication, presentation and coordination skills and drive (ability to finish all the tasks right)
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new things if the process changes
